What is a nebulizer?
Aerosol nebulizers are used to deliver aerosolized medication to the lungs. They are used with patients for whom a physician has prescribed medication for aerosol treatments in the home.

Aerosol therapy:
This therapy delivers liquid medication into the airways and lungs. The liquid medication is broken down into mist particles tiny enough to be inhaled.

How can I start this treatment?
Your physician must write a prescription for a nebulizer and the medication that is being prescribed. He or she will then contact a respiratory service supplier who can dispense a nebulizer to you.
